The G16 Smoke Density Monitor is an advanced smoke and dust monitoring system designed to the highest standard for use on a range of industrial applications. Using state of the art module design and solid green laser technology, the its double-pass measurement method provides an Opacity Monitor that is easy to install, rugged and reliable.

Reliable Monitoring

The Transceiver with laser, optical system and electronics are of rugged construction with a high environmental rating. The double pass measurement combined with a perfectly aligned optical laser secures a high level of performance and reliability, even on large duct diameters.

Easy Operation

The operator interface (HMI) provides easy system configuration calibration and verification, thanks to a menu driven user- friendly interface. The interface consist of a touchscreen, relay contacts, analog outputs and Modbus TCP/IP communication for integration into a wider emission monitoring system.

The G16 Opacity Monitoring system can be arranged with audit module for easy verification.

Low-cost Maintenance

The G16 Opacity Monitor is designed to resist heat and vibration, thus the system is robust while operating in the extreme working environment in and around smoke stacks on board the ocean ongoing vessels.

The purge air system will keep the optical windows against soot contamination. The optical parts can be cleaned easily without any special tools. With no moving parts, the system does not require much maintenance except occasional cleaning of the lenses and calibration.

Dangers of Flammable Gases

Flammable gases pose significant dangers due to their ability to ignite and sustain combustion. Here are some of the key hazards associated with flammable gases: Fire and Explosion: Flammable gases can ignite easily in the presence of an ignition source such as a spark, flame, or heat. Once ignited, they can rapidly propagate combustion, leading to fires and explosions. These ...

Volatile Organic Compounds ( VOC’s )

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are a group of chemicals that can easily evaporate into the air at room temperature. They are emitted from a wide array of sources, including household products, building materials, and industrial processes. While many VOCs are harmless, some can pose significant health risks, especially when present in high concentrations or in poorly ventilated spaces. Here are ...

Dangers of Hydrogen Sulphide Gas

Another common hazard we are asked about is dangers from slurry on farms and how H2S can easily overpower anyone who gets too near . Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) gas poses several dangers to human health and the environment. Here are some of the main risks associated with exposure to hydrogen sulfide: Toxicity: Hydrogen sulfide is highly toxic even at low ...
